Ramban Admin observes Martyrs’ day, Pays tributes to freedom fighters across the district

RAMBAN, JANUARY, 30: As a mark of respect to the martyrs who laid down their lives for the freedom of the country, the District Administration observed Martyrs’ Day across district Ramban here today.

In this regard a two minute silence was observed by all officers and officials in the District Administrative Complex and other office institutions across the district Ramban amid strict Covid Protocols.  .

Deputy Commissioner, Ramban, Mussarat Islam, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Harbans Sharma, CMO, CEO, Executive Engineers and various senior officers besides officials prominently took part in the Prayer.

On the occasion, Deputy Commissioner, recalled the contribution of freedom fighters especially Mahatma Gandhi in the independence struggle of India. He said that the Martyrs’ Day also aims at paying respect to the freedom fighters who gave up their lives in the fight for independence.

Similar prayers were also held at Sub Divisional, Tehsil levels and institutions across the district. The two minute silence was also observed by Police at District Police Headquarter, Ramban.
