National Highway NH-44

National HIghway Project NH-44 would provide all-weather-connectivity from Jammu to the Kashmir valley. It will also reduce journey time from Jammu to Srinagar and strategic border areas in the State of J&K. Moreover, implementation of the project would result in development of basic infrastructure in the region which would ultimately lead to overall economic development of the regions of the State. The project is covered in the region of Ramban and Banihal in Jammu & Kashmir.

The cost is estimated to be Rs. 1623.98 crore including the cost of land acquisition, resettlement and rehabilitation and other pre-construction activities. The total length of the road will be approximately 32.10 kms.
